Moot tomorrow

Just a very very quick post to say - I am off to the Moot tomorrow. I have planned my route and hope I don't get lost. I really don't know what to expect but I do already know that the Moot Chieftain (my own title there) works for a record company and looks like a Metal fan (wey hey!). Hard Working Son (and part time Rock God) is therefore very very very keen for me to establish a firm footing amongst the assembled wierdies and get my feet under the table sharpish, letting a CD of my son's band fall out of my pocket by mistake. Well we shall see.

I shall let you know whether its all cloaks, beards and upstanding staffs, or disappointing scuffly sorts shuffling in faded robes by the buffet table. I am expecting Morgans and Taliesins aplenty; a few Wolf Ravens, and Running Stags.... oh the joy of meeting a Weatherwax or an Ogg (perhaps too much to ask). Thankfully my witchy name is rather unique, and I am not going to bandy it about, not on a first date anyway. I can always use my blog name till I feel a little more secure.

So think of me tomorrow amongst the faerie people - I am going straight from work and will be in a business suit, nothing like being a little different ;o)

Argh ... I hope you meet some nice weirdy playmates. And a pox on them all if they don't immediately sense the gift you bring!

Vi: I shall tell you all about the wierdness later today. I did enjoy it although I had had a shity day and was a bit tired and (weepy).

Hedge: It was my first time so I only 'mingled' with about 7 chap and chappess's none of them were from Martin's Jerked Meats but its early days.

Bobo: They were all very friendly and keen for me to come back so maybe the 'gift' was appreciated.

Craig: There is a pun in there somewhere. But you know, I am struggling to define it.

Hull: Post later today - or at least Friday. It was a bizzarre experience.

Wester: Please wander at will

Pixie: I looked very smart - and a little out of place in the Goth Pub. The landlord was giving me shifty looks along the lines of, 'is she from the tax office/counsel/brewery and here to spy on me'.

Dj: I would have enjoyed it more if I had felt fresher and not had a very scary walk from the car park and gone round the ring road a couple of times. Three on thee way back. It was a good experience and I will tell all later.

Chopper posted your prize today but he sent it second class, so don't blame me if it takes months to get to you! He said 'It will get to QV tomorrow' and 'Trust me I'm a postman'! Pah...

One of the definitions of the word 'moot' - deprived of practical significance; made abstract or purely academic.

That was the pun... nothing more C:)

DJ: Oh oh I am so looking forward to it. As for Chopper - men eh?

Craig: Thanks for the definition. I found it hard to pin the exact meaning on Moot. I prefer the Entish.
