Holiday Blues - and lots of catch up

So sorry for being absent for so long. The whole time I was away on hols I was making mental notes of all the things I could blog about. Now I am back I have been struck by the post holiday blues lurgey - I cant be bothered to do anything!

In fairness to me, I am playing catch up. Lots of stuff piles up while you are away and the kids are still on holiday etc etc but I have pics to show you, and ideas for posts galore so it will happen. Promise it will.

As I write I am still in bed. Could not be arsed to get up. I have to haul my butt over to North Derbyshire in an hour for my surgery day, but have spent my preparation time drinking tea, eating cornflakes and cuddling Lewis, who is curled up in the crook of my arm making typing a tad awkward!

I have also been enjoying surfing the Pagan Federations website, I need a wider network of fellow wierdy folk and feel that this particular one is vibrant and inclusive. Its always a tricky one, how wierd is wierd? Some wierdies are way too wierd and I dont want to swap the tambourine and church hall cup of tea for a tabor and a glass of mead if you know what I mean. Organised groups tend to have the same dynamic whether singing for 'Jesus' or dancing round a brightly coloured pole. So I am wary - shall I dip my toe in the water or not? Whether I join or not there seems to be some interesting gatherings to attend.

Anyway - lest I ramble, I had better get up now but will be back blogging shortly. It may be the weekend now but I will do my best.

Go on; dip your toe in the water. You can always pull it out quickly if you want.

One of my motto's is 'will try anything once.'

I have already had an email from the federation so it looks like I have dipped!

They call them Moots - lol how good is that? A bunch of Ents! Thanks for the encouragement and I shall be posting with the interview questions shortly. They were interesting and I will enjoy answering them.

Hi QV. Your occasional Twitter-ings made it sound like you had a good holiday. And if it's any consolation, I've been back to work almost 2 weeks and I'm still not back to normal. :) I'm sure you'll get back in gear way quicker than that!

Never had the guts to go to a Moot on my own when I was in the UK, although there were plenty, apparently, around Bangor where I was in college. Do let me know what I missed out on. :)

Welcome back QV, sorry you've got the post holiday blues

Dj: Thanks - and there is plenty in the pipe line. Holiday posts, the whole 'what it means to be a witch' thing, plus an interview with Kahless. Must make time to do it all!

l-q-s: Awww yes, holiday blues are difficult to shift - I still feel down now, hope I dont have another week to go. I shall let you know all about the Moot, they seem really friendly already so I shall go along, I may recruit a friend but if not I shall just go and plonk myself next to some poor unsuspecting pagan sort.

Hull: Yes the blues are still lingering, thanks for the welcome back.

Better the tabor than the tambourine ... and as for mead.

And mead and/or cider might heal your blues.

Bobo: Mead is nice - cider is the other officially endorsed pagan drink. I did have a mead liquer (spelling?) last year - it was awsome. I can have a good go at both tambourine and tabor - but aint that just me!
